Ben Newbury is a singer/songwriter who lives for music, ‘a world without music would be a pretty awful world to live in’. With vast musical influences including the likes of solo artists such as Bon Iver, Bob Dylan, Pete Doherty running through to some of the most well known bands in musical history including The Beatles, The Smiths, The Libertines, The Enemy, The Rifles, just to name a few. Having such an eclectic taste certainly reflects within his music from the use of the picked 12 string acoustic guitar down to the rhythms and melodies of the electric guitar and piano. Having fallen in love with music and singing from an early age he later picked up his first guitar at the age of 15 and decided he was going to teach himself, and has never looked back since.

Having a BA HONS degree in the arts has helped him grow as a performer and a writer, his lyrics are seemingly poetic and truthful being influenced by love, life and the simplest dreams, day dreams, thoughts or actions. He takes us on a journey within the story of his own life ‘beyond the land where wildest dreams are free’ as seen in the songs ‘A song for you’ and You and I’.

A vocal powerhouse full of passion, melodies and song writing skills to match. Ezzy pushes the boundaries of modern RnB, risking being different in a industry where its easier to blend in than it is to stand out. When asked why she does it her answer is ‘Im not a fan of the obvious, i want to give my listeners something more than just catchy songs’ .

A maths and statics with finance graduate; she started singing from the tender age of 5 but due to the academic background of her family she never thought pursue music as a career. Ezzy has gigged across the U.K and abroad with English rock band ‘The Heavy’ as a backup singer which has helped her gain stage confidence and led her to performing by herself at notable venues such as the Bar Music Hall and Scala.

She is now working to produce her own material with plans to launch her official EP in early 2014. Look out for Ezzy this summer as she will be joining ‘The Heavy’ again on stage at the Glastonbury festival.

22 year old Eloise Rees describes herself as “a small blonde singer-songwriter with a helium voice” but don’t be fooled; she is a force to be reckoned with. Eloise was born and bred in Oxford, began her music career at the age of 14 in an all girl rock band. Six years on and she is now a solo act belting out modern melodic folk music with a contemporary country twist. Many of her songs are played in a range of alternative tunings, which gives her music a style of its own.
She cites her influences as renowned folk-artists such as Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell, but also aspires to the likes of Ben Howard and Lisse. It might not be too long till Eloise is one of their peers after supporting Indie heavy weights The View on tour recently, creating a real buzz around her.

Her single ‘Fire with Fire’ encapsulates everything about a relationship gone wrong, taking you through the familiar painstaking emotions one agonising but beautiful step at a time. In the run up to the release, Eloise is released a series of songs called ‘Secret Sessions’ via her Facebook page so her fans can get a taste of what’s to come.

On the 22nd of April 2013, Eloise supported singer and songwriter Tom McRae at the Oxford O2 academy which has led to her song ‘Stop the clocks’ bieng hotpicked as a favourite by english folk band The Daughter and played on BBC Introducing. Expect big things from this little lady this year with a single and EP under way – there is no doubt that she is the one to watch.
